This home is a rare find. From the moment you
arrive your senses are overwhelmed by the natural beauty all around you. This
retreat is situated on a 40 foot cliff overlooking Lake Superior.
The exterior walls are 65% windows with views
of the lake and woods. A 10 by 15 foot skylight washes the main room with
light. The total effect is that you are inside but also feel at one with the
outdoors.
In the grandroom is a full kitchen, two dining
areas, a fireplace,and a wonderful couch area under the skylight. The windows,
with a 180 dergee view of the water, are framed with window seating under which
are hundreds of books and some great games.
The bedrooms, which are separated by the
grandroom, have queen beds and private full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a
TV with satellite dish and the bathroom has a steam shower plus an oversized
whirlpool tub.

Lutsen ski hill is 2 miles away as is the 18
hole golf course and alpine slide. Cross country skiing can take you from the
ski hill right to the cabin.
Superior hiking trail is on the other side of
Highway 61. A peregrine falcon nesting place is near by.
Grand Marais is 18 miles further down the
highway where a number of artists spend creative hours. The gunflint trail
starts in Grand Marais and the boundary water canoe trips in the area are
legendary. |
